A.M. Best Co. said Friday that it has affirmed the A-plus financial strength ratings of the primary life insurance entities of Aegon’s U.S. operations and revised their rating outlooks to stable from negative.

The Oldwick, N.J., ratings agency has also affirmed the financial strength ratings of Aegon’s remaining North American life insurance entities. The affirmations reflect both groups’ profitable operations, diversified sources of earnings, and leading market positions, the ratings agency said.
