In Brief: A.G. Edwards Offers UMA Program

A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc., a St. Louis investment manager, launched a unified managed account program.

The account, which requires a minimum investment of $100,000, allows investors to put their separately managed accounts, mutual funds, and exchange-traded funds in a single account.

The Unified Managed Portfolios program, introduced last week, allows investors to choose from three account strategies: Unified Multi-Style Portfolios, which are diversified portfolios primarily invested with separate account managers; Unified Fundamental Multi-Style Portfolios, which offer lower investment minimums and have a larger percentage of the portfolio's assets in mutual funds and ETFs; and Unified Custom Multi-Style Portfolios, which allow clients to work with their financial consultant to customize their asset allocation.

Parametric Portfolio Associates of Seattle will provide overlay investment management services for the program.
