American International Group Inc. has announced the promotion of Charles Williamson to president of its private-client group, which serves the insurance and risk management needs of high-net-worth customers.
He succeeds Ross Buchmueller, who has left the organization, the company said on Monday.
Christopher L. Sparro, who was the zonal executive for domestic general insurance in the New York region, succeeds Mr. Williamson as president of AIG WorldSource. This unit serves the insurance needs of U.S.-based clients with international exposures as well as foreign clients with U.S. exposures.
Douglas M. Worman, who was president of the public company management liability division of AIG's National Union Fire Insurance Co. in Pittsburgh succeeds Mr. Sparro.
The AIG private-client group and AIG WorldSource are divisions of the property and casualty insurance subsidiaries of American International Group Inc.
