The cash deal, announced late Wednesday, is expected to close in the fourth quarter. The $910 million-asset Peoples announced its first Indiana deal in December, when it said it would buy the $68 million-asset American State Corp. of Lawrenceburg for $7.8 million. That acquisition is expected to close this quarter.

Peoples would have seven Indiana branches when both deals are completed.
