Axa Distributors LLC, a unit of Axa Financial Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Paris-based Axa Group, said Friday that it had hired a former Lincoln Financial executive to increase annuity sales across all channels.

William C. Miller Jr. was hired by Axa Distributors to be chief sales officer, beginning today. He will be a senior vice president of Axa Equitable and an executive vice president of Axa Distributors responsible for annuity sales through broker-dealers, banks, independent financial planners, and Axa advisers, the company said.
Mr. Miller was a senior vice president and head of distribution for all channels at Lincoln Financial Distributors for its American Legacy product series.
