Bank of America Corp. has announced that it hired Joseph Mauro to be a sales performance executive at its Banc of America Corporate Insurance Agency in Cranford, N.J.

He reports to Stanley Jablonowski, the agency's president and chief executive officer, the company said on Friday.
Mr. Mauro was a senior managing director of Frank Crystal & Co. Inc., a New York insurance brokerage. In his sales performance role at Banc of America Corporate Insurance Agency, he is responsible for driving new business among producers in the agency's commercial insurance and employee benefits divisions, as well as for recruiting.
