In Brief: B of A Appoints Emerging-Markets Head

NEW YORK — Bank of America Corp. has named Richard Prager head of emerging markets.

Mr. Prager, who joined the company in January as head of sales for the emerging-markets group, takes the post Nov. 1, succeeding David Blatchford. He will be based in New York.

The group was started last year to better coordinate emerging-markets trading and regional management.

Bank of America said it is continuing to build its international sales force.

Mr. Prager has spent most of his career in the emerging-markets business. Before joining Bank of America he was head of European marketing in London for General Re Financial Securities. Before that he was global co-head of emerging markets and high-yield activities at ING Barings
