Bank of America's investment management arm said Thursday that it had hired Christopher Wilson to head its mutual fund businesses.
Mr. Wilson is to run all operations of the Columbia Management mutual fund business, which includes Nations Funds, Columbia Funds, and Columbia Acorn Funds. He also is to run the operating and nondistribution segments of the fund business, including treasury, investment accounting, and shareholder and broker services.
He was the president and chief executive officer of CDC Ixis Asset Management Services Inc., which was started in 1998. CDC Ixis sells investment management infrastructure services to holding company affiliates. Previously, he was a senior vice president and managing director at New England Funds.
Mr. Wilson succeeds Kevin Connaughton, who now is to run Columbia’s fund compliance initiative.
