CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Bank of America has licensed software from FNX Ltd., a provider of Internet management systems for capital markets.
FNX, of Wayne, Pa., will install Sierra System, which it developed with Sun Microsystems, as Bank of America's central platform for trading, credit limits, and transaction processing.
Sierra System will assist Bank of America in trading and risk management for foreign exchange. It can handle upward of 10,000 transactions an hour from at least 300 trading stations.
