In Brief: B of A Names Project Finance Chief for Asia

BankAmerica Corp.'s lead bank subsidiary has tapped Frank Packard to head its global project finance business in Asia.

Mr. Packard, who was a managing director for Bank of America before last week's appointment, joined the bank in 1994 from Bankers Trust Corp. in Hong Kong.

He will be in charge of the financing and advisory services Bank of America provides for infrastructure construction in its Asian market.

He succeeds William Rathvon, who is returning to the United States to become BankAmerica's global industry coordinator for the oil and gas sectors.
