WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - BB&T Corp. has introduced an Internet cash management service to help its corporate and small-business clients get information and initiate transactions via the Web.
Customers can use Cash Manager OnLine to gain access to previous and current-day account information, place stop payments, initiate domestic and international wire transfers, and transfer funds between accounts. No software is required.
Internet cash management systems are quickly becoming commonplace, according to PSI Global, a Tampa research firm. From 1997 to 1999 the percentage of banks that said they offered online corporate cash services more than doubled, to 60%.
