Bear Stearns Cos. Inc. said Monday that it had promoted three executives - two to treasurer of their units.
The New York investment bank named Robert Upton treasurer of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., John Stacconi treasurer of Bear Stearns Securities Corp., and Sal DiMaggio head of bank relations and business development.
In their new roles, Mr. Upton and Mr. Stacconi will in effect be co-heads of the company's corporate treasury functions globally, Bear Stearns said. Mr. DiMaggio will remain manager of the company's banking relationships globally and work with business units to enhance opportunities for Bear Stearns' bank group.
Founded in 1923, Bear Stearns is an investment banking and securities trading and brokerage firm with about $57.6 billion of total capital.
