Huntington Bancshares Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, is supplying password-generating tokens to its business customers to improve online authentication.
Vasco Data Security International Inc. announced Tuesday that the $35.3 billion-asset banking company, began to require in November that all new business customers use Vasco's Digipass GO3 token, which generates a unique one-time password. The password is designed to be used in addition to a company ID, user ID, and user password, to gain access to the Huntington Business Online Web site for funds management.
The distribution of tokens to existing business customers of Huntington National Bank is expected to be complete by April, said Vasco, an Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., vendor.
