CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Cambridge Trust Co., a unit of Cambridge Bancorp, has purchased the assets of White Mountain Investment Inc., a Concord, N.H., investment advisory firm for an undisclosed price.
The acquisition increases the 110-year-old commercial bank's assets to $1.6 billion and doubles its assets in New Hampshire, the bank said Tuesday.
The top five banks and thrifts have combined total assets of nearly $13 trillion.
