In Brief: Cendant Web Site Hooks Up With AOL

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. Cendant Mortgage is giving America Online subscribers exclusive access to its new MortgageSave.com Web site.

Under a deal announced last week, AOL will link its personal finance area to MortgageSave.com, which carries AOLs brand. The site is scheduled to be open for business May 1.

In the fall, the Cendant Corp. unit plans to equip MortgageSave with new technology that it says will speed up and otherwise improve the service, in addition to cutting costs. Fannie Mae helped Cendant to develop the technology, which will give users immediate loan decisions and prices.
