City National Bank, a private and business bank in Los Angeles, announced Tuesday that it had hired Richard J. Tribiano to be a senior vice president and national sales manager for its wealth management services division.
Mr. Tribiano is to be responsible for business development and oversee a team of investment, trust, and estate and financial planning professionals that delivers the bank's wealth management and retirement services to entrepreneurs, professionals, their families, and their businesses, the company said. He is to report to Richard D. Byrd, an executive vice president and the director of wealth management services.
City National, a $14.7 billion-asset company, hired Mr. Tribiano from Merrill Lynch Trust Co. in Los Angeles, where he had worked for 12 years, most recently as the national sales director for its private bank and investment group. He also was a wealth management specialist for three years at Wells Fargo Bank and for more than 11 years at the former J.P. Morgan & Co.
