CNB Financial Corp. of Clearfield, Pa., has opened a branch in Erie under the name ErieBank and said Tuesday that it plans to have four such branches there within two years.

ErieBank opened Monday in temporary headquarters on Peach Street and is operating as a division of County National Bank, CNB's sole banking subsidiary.
In October the $777 million-asset CNB opened a loan production office in Erie and said that it was organizing ErieBank to give consumers and business owners another option in a city dominated by large out-of-town banks.
Eight banks have branches in Erie, but only one, the $477 million-asset Marquette Savings Bank, is based there.
