Union Bank of California has agreed to offer Clearingworks and another US Dataworks Inc. product to its customers.
Clearingworks processes automated clearing house payments and digital check images. Union Bank, which is mostly owned by Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group Inc., will also offer US Dataworks' Distributive Capture, which permits real-time access to payment data from remote locations.
Homa Alviri, a vice president for commercial product management and development at Union Bank, said in a US Dataworks press release, "Our customers are looking for innovative solutions to check payment processing."
The Houston-based vendor said it has similar agreements with J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and with another large financial services company that it would not name.
