Previously he worked at Charles Schwab Corp., including a stint as treasurer.
Dimensional Fund Advisors manages more than $130 billion of client assets. It primarily serves institutional clients. It has more than 1,500 clients in 25 countries. It announced the hiring of Mr. Martin on Tuesday.
