Barclays Global Investors announced Friday that Patricia C. Dunn — a day after being booked on felony charges of allegedly spying on reporters and company directors at Hewlett-Packard Co., where she was chairman until her recent resignation — had resigned as nonexecutive vice chairman at the global asset management firm.
She had held the part-time role at the Barclays unit since stepping down as its chief executive officer in July 2002 to battle cancer. Ms. Dunn was a co-CEO and chairman of the unit from 1995 to 1998 and sole chairman and chief executive until 2002. She was named nonexecutive chairman of Hewlett-Packard, where she was an independent director, in March 2005.
