SAN FRANCISCO Esurance Inc. has expanded its auto insurance business into Nebraska and Utah.
With the additions, announced Wednesday, Esurance offers policies over the Internet to drivers in 26 states, which hold more than 72.5% of the nations driving population.
Esurance provides advice, instant quotes, and comparison quotes from other companies, and immediate coverage at the time of payment. Customers can use its online service to add a driver or car to a policy, change their level of coverage, and print out their policy or proof of insurance card.
The company plans to expand its business to additional states this year.
