Lester Stroh, a founding director and former chairman of Vineyard National Bancorp in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., died Jan. 8 at age 87, the company said Wednesday.
Dr. Stroh, a physician, was still a director of the $1.3 billion-asset company at the time of this death.
He helped to found Vineyard National Bank in 1981 and was its chairman and that of its holding company, formed in 1998, until 2000.
For much of that time he was the head of Kaiser Permanente Medical Group's Allergy-Immunology Department, Inland Valley. He retired in 1995.
