BALTIMORE - John M. Varvaris has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer of Fidelity and Guaranty Life Insurance Co.
Mr. Varvaris brings 21 years of experience in financial and business advisory services to F&G Life, where he will oversee financial reporting and analysis, investment accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury operations, treasury management, operations analysis, and tax.
Before joining the company, he was a partner at Ernst & Young in Baltimore, where he began working in 1979. During his tenure there he served clients in several areas.
F&G Life has more than $5.8 billion of assets and offers a diverse portfolio of annuities and life insurance products. It is a subsidiary of the St. Paul Cos. in St. Paul.
