The spring edition of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.'s quarterly Consumer News, released Tuesday, is aimed at young adults.
It looks at financial mistakes they often make, such as having too many credit cards, getting too deeply into debt, failing to save money, and paying too much in fees associated with financial products, such as automated teller machine cards.
The edition also features "A To-Do List for Key Stages of Your Life" that identifies financial decisions that should be made in high school or college, on a first job, or when starting a family. Other articles discuss identity-theft protection, credit cards, and checking accounts.
The publication is available on the FDIC's Web site at www.fdic.gov.
