Fiserv Inc. said Friday that it had bought Insurance Wholesalers Inc., a Citrus Heights, Calif., company that generates leads for term and universal life insurance sales to cover the amount of an insured's mortgage.
The deal's price was not disclosed.
Insurance Wholesalers is to be absorbed by the distribution solutions division of Fiserv's insurance group. Brian Pope, who founded the company in 1991, is to remain its president, and Fiserv is to hire its 42 employees.
Fiserv is a Brookfield, Wis., company that sells information management systems and services to the financial and health benefits industries; it had more than $4 billion of revenue last year.
