Flagstar Bancorp Inc. of Troy, Mich., has joined Allpoint, the surcharge-free automated teller machine network owned by ATM National LLC.
Customers of the $13.1 billion-asset Flagstar, which owns 125 ATMs, will get access to over 32,000 ATMs nationwide, Ben Psillas, Allpoint's president, said last week.
Starting in early May the customers will have access to about 750 Michigan machines, all of them located in merchant stores.
Mr. Psillas said Flagstar was looking to expand into markets such as Illinois and Wisconsin.
America's Community Bankers, the trade group to which Flagstar belongs, brokered the deal. Allpoint, of Bethesda, Md., signed a deal with ACB in September to be its exclusive surcharge-free ATM network partner.
