BOSTON - FleetBoston Financial Corp. said Thursday it planned to launch its first TV advertising campaign since Fleet Financial Group's merger last year with BankBoston Corp.

The three 30-second spots, which were scheduled to start airing Thursday night on NBC stations in New York, Boston, and Providence, R.I., promote Fleet HomeLink, the company's online banking and investing program, as well as its corporate banking and small-business services.

Additional spots focusing on commercial banking and corporate citizenship will follow, Fleet said.
