BRANFORD, Conn. Frank Newman, former chief executive officer and current chairman emeritus of Bankers Trust Corp., has agreed to join the board of Netkey Inc., a vendor of Internet kiosks.
Mr. Newman, a veteran of the banking industry and government, joins Netkey after executive stints at Bankers Trust, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo & Co. In addition to Netkey, Mr. Newman is a director of Dow Jones & Co., Korea First Bank, Choicelinx Corp., Inzigo Inc., and Invertica Inc.
Netkeys clients include financial services companies, bookstores, and food companies; it creates Web kiosks for interaction with customers. The development of the kiosk channel will be essential to the future success of the banking and financial services industries, said Mr. Newman. By teaming with Netkey, these industries can benefit from improved customer service, experience significant return on investment, and increase their market capitalization through new incremental revenue.
