Sanchez Subsidiary to Process For Sovereign's Internet Bank

MALVERN, Pa. - Sanchez Computer Associates Inc. announced that 1st Webbankdirect, the Internet-only unit of Sovereign Bank of Wyomissing, Pa., has become a customer of Sanchez' e-Profile subsidiary.1st Webbankdirect has signed a contract for eProfile to process its customer accounts, which the vendor will do at its bank operations and data center near Pittsburgh. The contract calls for e-Profile to manage and synthesize the various technology components , from different vendors, that the bank uses.

First Union Will Use Mass. Firm's Software to Add More Customers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - First Union Corp. has licensed software from Marketing Information and Technology Inc. to support customer acquisition in its consumer bank, First Union Equity Direct, and Money Store.The Andover, Mass., company will maintain a prospect database accessible by First Union employees. First Union will also make use of the company's data warehouse, which tracks financial, lifestyle, demographic, and public records of 260 million people in 100 million households.

"Handling it this way enables us to focus on what we do best - strategic analysis and marketing for prospective customers," said Steven Frank, senior vice president and director of prospect database implementation for Money Store and First Union.


Comerica Signs with Derivion For Corporate E-Billing Service

DETROIT - Comerica Inc. announced an agreement with Atlanta-based Derivion Corp. to help its corporate customers send bills over the Internet.Using Derivion's iNetBiller service, Comerica's corporate customers can post invoices and receive payments from consumers Daniel J. McCarthy, senior vice president of treasury management services at Comerica, said, his company's corporate clients have been demanding electronic billing capabilities.


Iriscan CEO Moves Up to Chairman; Marketing Executive Inherits the Job

MARLTON, N.J. - William H. Voltmer has been promoted to president and chief executive officer of IriScan Inc., succeeding John Siedlarz, who was named chairman.Mr. Voltmer, who has 17 years' experience in the software industry, joined IriScan as senior vice president of sales and marketing last summer.
