In Brief: GenAmerica Names Little as New CIO

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - MetLife Inc.'s GenAmerica Financial Corp. has appointed Edward D. "Mont" Little as chief information officer and a senior vice president.

He will also head the company's individual business information technology division. Mr. Little succeeded Randy Poppell in both jobs; he resigned last month.

The appointment was announced Friday.

Mr. Little joined General America Life Insurance Co., a GenAmerica subsidiary, in 1982 as a programmer trainee; since 1998 he had been the executive director of the company's integrated insurance solutions division. MetLife bought GenAmerica Financial in January 2000.
