To expand its operations in southwestern Indiana, German American Bancorp in Jasper is acquiring the $35.3 million-asset PCB Holding Co. of Tell City for $6.7 million in cash and stock.
The $912 million-asset German American expects the deal, announced Tuesday, to close this year. German American would get two additional branches in Tell City, which is also home to one of its five banking subsidiaries, First State Bank, Southwestern Indiana. German American said it plans to merge PCB's operating subsidiary, Peoples Community Bank, into First State.
First State Bank, Southwest Indiana would remain the third-largest bank in Perry County, where Tell City is located.
