The deal, announced Wednesday, would give Glacier its first presence in southeastern Idaho, with three branches.

It is also the second deal the $3 billion-asset multibank holding company has announced in three weeks. Last month it said would buy the $234 million-asset Bank of the West in Evanston, Wyo., for $41 million in cash.

Both banks would become subsidiaries of Glacier, which operates seven banks with 55 branches in Montana, Utah, Idaho, and Washington.
