In Brief: Great-West Offering Data on 401(k) Site

DENVER - Great-West Life and Annuity Insurance Co. announced Tuesday that it had agreed to provide information about its 401(k) products to brokers registered with 401konnect.com's request-for-proposal service.

The service lets brokers compare 401(k) plans offered by different companies. Brokers can also request a proposal from Great-West from the Web site.

Great-West offers 401(k) plans with brand-name investment options, including international, fixed-income and prepackaged lifestyle portfolios, for start-ups and existing companies. It also offers a self-directed brokerage account that gives users access to more than 9,000 mutual funds, stocks, and bonds, as well as real-time research and quotes.

The Great-West Lifeco Inc. subsidiary currently administers more than $37 billion of assets in 11,000 401(k) plans for two million participants.
