Group Health Inc. of New York will work with Amisys Synertech Inc. to develop a consumer health-care product, the companies announced Thursday.

Amisys will administer the product for Group Health, handling health savings accounts and providing call-center services and online tools.

Group Health is a statewide not-for-profit health insurer. Its GHI HMO subsidiary provides health insurance and administrative services to more than 2.6 million people. Amisys, of Rockville, Md., provides administrative services and online tools for health-care providers.
