In Brief: Hanover Appoints VP for Texas

Citizens and Hanover Insurance Cos. said Monday that it has named Debra Richardson the regional vice president in Texas for Hanover Insurance Co.

Ms. Richardson is to be responsible for all aspects of commercial lines underwriting, distribution, marketing, and sales in the state. She joined Hanover as a commercial lines manager last June. Before that she was the underwriting director for St. Paul Cos.' north Texas and Arkansas regions. St. Paul's "merger of equals" with Travelers Property and Casualty closed last April 1.

Hanover Insurance in Worcester, Mass., and Citizens Insurance Co. of America in Howell, Mich., offer property and casualty insurance to individuals, families, and businesses.
