The $800 million-asset National Bank of Kansas City, which was founded in 1998, said that switching its core processing to Harland would facilitate further growth.

Harland is selling itself to Clarke American Corp., the No. 3 U.S. check printer and a unit of the New York holding company M&F Worldwide Corp.
