Hartford Financial Services Group Inc.'s investment management unit has hired Alison Murdoch and Ray Uy for its international investment team.

Hartford Investment Management Co. said Wednesday that it had hired Ms. Murdoch from Abbey National Asset Managers in Glasgow and Mr. Uy from Mackay Shields LLC in New York.
Ms. Murdoch will do international credit analysis and credit research on securities in Europe and the United Kingdom. Mr. Uy will do international trading and is to support the international sector's management of nondollar credit portfolios.
