SAN FRANCISCO - Visa U.S.A. executive Les Mann has been recruited away by the health sciences company Biospace.com.
Mr. Mann, 48, who was Visa's senior vice president for merchant sales and integrated solutions, was named executive vice president of sales and marketing and will report to Biospace.com chief executive officer Timothy Fredel. Before his nine years at the card association, Mr. Mann worked 10 years at American Hospital Supply.
Mr. Fredel called him "a key hire because his major responsibility will be to expand our e-commerce services to life science industry enterprises and end-users.
His experience at Visa and in supply chain management will also be a tremendous asset in our efforts to serve our customers, including our newest and biggest customer, the National Institutes of Health."
