The American Bankers Association has released a how-to book for derivatives.
"Managing Risk With Derivatives," released by the trade group this month, provides graphs, charts, sample problems, and a glossary to explain this often-confusing product.
"I put a lot of effort into making this book practical, not theoretical," said Townsend Walker, the book's author and a senior vice president with BankAmerica Corp. "I use numerous examples of exposure from actual banking experiences and two case studies to give readers a realistic sense of the issues."
The book costs $69 for ABA members, and $99 for non-members. Call 800- 338-0626 for more information.
