HSBC Holdings PLC promoted Asim Majeed to chief financial officer of its U.S. private-label credit card business Wednesday.
Mr. Majeed will lead the financial accounting and management team for HSBC Retail Services, which provides private-label financing for retailers and manufacturers.
He succeeded Joseph Hoff, who was appointed the chief executive for HSBC Retail Services in March.
Mr. Majeed will be based in Prospect Heights, Ill., the headquarters for HSBC North America. He was a vice president in HSBC's U.S. wholesale/correspondent mortgage business.
