In Brief: Intralinks President is Promoted To CEO

NEW YORK - Intralinks Inc., a secure online messaging service, has promoted its president, James P. Dougherty, to chief executive officer.

Mr. Dougherty succeeded Mark S. Adams, who founded the company in 1997. Mr. Adams will remain chairman of the board, and Mr. Dougherty remains president.

Before joining Intralinks in January, Mr. Dougherty was executive vice president and general manager of Prodigy Communications Corp.'s business solutions group. He was also a member of the four-person management committee there. Earlier he was general manager of Lotus Development Corp.'s Internet applications group.

Intralinks supplies an online environment for companies to exchange document-intensive information related to complex transactions such as syndicated loans.
