In Brief: Irish Firm Raises $10M for Product Rollout

NEW YORK - Dublin-based Eontec has closed a $10.4 million equity-raising deal, bringing the value of the company to $100 million. Eontec offers multichannel, Java-based software for banks and other retail financial services organizations.

The investment is to finance the company's international expansion as well as let it launch a worldwide rollout of its flagship product, BankFrame.

BankFrame is a multichannel architecture that can play host to banking applications that can be customized for Internet banking, call-center services, branch teller operations, electronic commerce, mobile commerce, and back-office banking functions.

The New York investment bank Allen & Co. contributed to the multimillion-dollar investment, as did private clients of Davy Stockbrokers in Dublin and the Irish entrepreneur Denis O'Brien.
