Jack Henry & Associates Inc. said it has won the core processing business of 73 start-up banking companies in the past 18 months.

The Monett, Mo., banking technology and outsourcing provider announced the milestone Tuesday and said that its products are particularly suited for start-up banks.
The new customers include banks in states such as Florida, Georgia, New York, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Jack Prim, the company's chief executive, said it offers "core processing solutions that are functionally compatible and cost-effective for institutions ranging from de novo to midtier banks" and can grow alongside "start-up banks with the business plans and the capitalization" to grow "into the midtier arena."
