In Brief: KeyCorp's Victory Unit Hires Equities Chief

KeyCorp's asset management arm, Victory Capital Management, announced Friday that it had hired Greg River to be a managing director and the head of equities.

In this role Mr. River is responsible for the Cleveland wealth manager's equity teams, equity research, risk management, and equity trading.

He was a senior vice president at Callan Associates in San Francisco, where he expanded the consulting practice to $750,000 of annual revenue in two years. His responsibilities at Callan included managing its mutual fund advisory business and strategic investment consulting relationships with investment management companies.

Previously, he was the president and chief operating officer at U.S. Foursis System Sales, the U.S. subsidiary of the Japanese print technology research and development company. Mr. River also is on the board of PayPal Mutual Fund Co.

Victory managed $56 billion of assets at Dec. 31.
