In Brief: KPMG Taps U.S. Chief To Run Global Business

U.S. unit, has been elected chairman of the global accounting firm. KPMG earns more than 70% of its revenues outside the United States. It has 6,000 partners and 76,000 employees. Mr. Madonna retains his leadership responsibilities for the U.S. unit, KPMG Peat Marwick, and will direct the global partnership from the U.S. firm's executive offices in New York. Under his leadership, the U.S. unit reported a 10% increase in revenues for its recently completed 1995 fiscal year, capping five years of stable revenues.
