In Brief: Liberty Funds Offers Advisers Sales Help

BOSTON - Liberty Funds has unveiled two Web-based programs designed to increase sales by strengthening relationships with financial advisers.

The first program announced Monday is an online client education program developed by Liberty Funds that advisers will be able to put their own names on; the second helps advisers develop their own personal brand by emphasizing their skills, experience, and financial expertise with free marketing materials provided by Liberty.

Liberty decided to develop such a program after a poll of advisers and individual investors indicated that education was their top priority, said the release. The educational program - called Step By Step Investing - is to help investors outline their goals based on criteria such as age, risk tolerance, and level of expertise.
