BankAtlantic Bancorp said Wednesday that it would extend hours at most of its 74 branches.
The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., company said that after Labor Day most of its branches would be open from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The Sunday hours will remain 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
BankAtlantic began offering Sunday hours three years ago and recently started keeping five of its branches open until midnight.
The $6 billion-asset company bills itself as "Florida's Most Convenient Bank." The current hours for most of its branches are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, until 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and until 3 p.m. on Saturday.
