Arden Asset Management Inc., a fund of hedge funds manager, announced Monday that it named John D. Rogers a managing director.

Mr. Rogers joins the New York firm from Ivy Asset Management Corp., where he was a managing director and the head of Ivy Ventures LLC. While at Ivy, a Bank of New York unit, he founded its investment products group.
Before joining Ivy, Mr. Rogers was a member of a Texas private equity partnership. Earlier still he was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs & Co. and Merrill Lynch & Co.
Mr. Rogers will work with Arden's senior management team to develop new global investment products.
