Independent Financial Marketing Group Inc. in Purchase, N.Y., and Highland Capital Brokerage announced an alliance Wednesday to support the sale of advanced life insurance products through the third-party marketer’s investment programs in financial companies nationwide.
Highland Capital Brokerage is to supply a high-end wholesaling solution to affiliates of the Sun Life Financial Inc. unit and their financial consultants. Highland is to focus on educating the consultants and their affluent clients about effective wealth transfer strategies, giving “hands-on” point-of-sale assistance, and supporting all back-office and processing aspects of the sales cycle.
The brokerage unit of Birmingham, Ala.-based Highland Capital Holding Corp., is a national financial services distribution company. It provides access to major insurance carriers, advanced planning support, expertise in risk underwriting, and various financial products and services for insurance brokers, financial planners, attorneys, and institutions such as banks, wire houses, and CPA firms.
