PITTSBURGH - Mellon Financial Corp. has hired Rose M. Cotton to be senior vice president and head of corporate affairs, reporting to Martin G. McGuinn, chairman and chief executive officer, the company said Monday.
Ms. Cotton also is to join the company's senior management committee. She oversees a group that is based in Pittsburgh but that has offices in Philadelphia, New York, Boston, and Los Angeles. She succeeds Sandra J. McLaughlin, who retired in July after 41 years at Mellon.
Most recently Ms. Cotton was vice president of communications and public affairs at Westinghouse.
